Welcome to the McCrae’s Battalion Cycle blog, I hope you find the site useful as a guide to: the motivation, preparation, logistics and completion of a cycle ride from Starks Park, Kirkcaldy to Contalmaison, France. In the name of McCrae’s Battalion I would like to raise funds for the Battalion trust to assist with the maintenance of the Battalion Cairn and their work across Europe in keeping alive the history of the 16th Royal Scots.

Business donation/sponsorship
In order to reflect the fantastic strip used by Raith Rovers to commemorate McCrae’s Battalion I would like to complete the sponsored ride in similar kit.

Force GB have produced a provisional design which is ready for business sponsors names to be added. I have a cut off date of 30 March to establish funding in order to realise this idea?
The kit will be used as my cyclocross racing kit from this year onwards so any sponsors will continue to be acknowledged after the sponsored ride. Detail of kit sponsors will be add to the blog.

I can be caught on any given Saturday either at Starks Park if Raith Rovers are at home or at the opposition ground if it’s an away day. I am happy to catch up for a chat so feel free to drop me an email. Should you be passing Starks Park a cheque made payable to David Hancock could be left for collection.
